Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gomez wants it to stay on the feet.
Gomez looks to land a combination but Dondon avoids it well.
Gomez misses with a double jab.
Dondon closes the distance but Gomez moves to the side
and Gomez counters with a head kick.
Gomez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dondon drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gomez wants to get back to his feet but Dondon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dondon thows a big elbow that misses.
Dondon is pushing down on Gomez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gomez is fighting to maintain full guard but Dondon has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dondon is controlling the pace.
Dondon wants to take a breather but Gomez is having none of it.
Gomez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dondon on the ground.

Dondon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gomez tries to kick Dondon off but Dondon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mayang Dondon wasn't active enough on the ground.
Gomez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dondon.
Dondon misses the body punch
and Gomez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dondon's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dondon controlling the position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gomez tries to stand but Dondon is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mayang Dondon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gomez misses with a takedown attempt - Dondon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gomez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gomez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dondon counters by clinching up.
Gomez is breathing heavily.
Dondon blocks an elbow strike.
Gomez stops a takedown attempt from Dondon.
Francisco Gomez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mayang Dondon.
Gomez throws an elbow that misses.
Gomez misses with an elbow over the top.

Gomez creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Gomez lands a nice elbow.
Dondon misses with a knee strike.
Dondon wants the takedown. Gomez is fighting it off but Dondon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gomez's guard against the cage.
Gomez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dondon is controlling him.
Dondon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gomez is looking to stand up but Dondon isn't so interested in that idea.
Gomez trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dondon working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Dondon wants to control from the top but Gomez keeps moving.

Dondon stays in close to Gomez's body and controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mayang Dondon was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dondon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gomez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dondon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gomez circles away.
Gomez avoids the head kick by Dondon.
Dondon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gomez as he avoids it easily.
Gomez misses with the combination.
Dondon shoots for a takedown but Gomez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Francisco Gomez will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dondon prevents Gomez from escaping the position.

Dondon swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gomez is looking to get back to is feet but Dondon passes into side control.
Gomez tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Dondon. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Dondon controls the action.
Gomez covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Dondon has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gomez is in real trouble here. Dondon gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gomez is tapping out! Dondon wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mayang Dondon!
