Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zydrunas Savickas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akio Chan! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chan with a nice cross. Savickas darts in trying to clinch letting Chan counter with a right hand. Chan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chan looks to land a left hand but Savickas moved out of range nicely. Savickas moves to clinch but Chan breaks away and Chan counters with a straight right hand. Chan circles away from the clinch attempt and Chan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Savickas tries to clinch but Chan moves away and Chan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Chan punishes Savickas's body with a nice straight punch.

Savickas slips a jab from Chan. A punch combination from Chan misses. Chan throws a series of punches but Savickas moves out of range. Savickas wants to clinch and Chan counters with a nice uppercut. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chan throws an off balance right hand
and Savickas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Akio Chan has been cut. Savickas throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chan counters with a head kick. That will keep Savickas thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Savickas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A punch combination from Savickas misses. Savickas checks a low kick from Chan. Chan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Savickas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chan. Chan thows a left - swing and a miss! Savickas tries to clinch up and Chan counters with a nice body shot. No joy there for Savickas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chan tries to bum rush Savickas with a series of wild strikes but Savickas uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Savickas.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

and Savickas counters with a three punch combo that has Chan backing up. Chan nods at Savickas to acknowledge the strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Savickas catches Chan with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Chan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Savickas tries to clinch but Chan moves away and Chan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Zydrunas Savickas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Savickas moves to clinch but Chan breaks away and Chan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Chan slips a jab and a cross from Savickas.

And that's the end of the fight! Akio Chan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
