Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lewis McLay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLay comes to the cage accompanied by "The Party Song" by Blink 182. Troyer has chosen Yankee Rose as his entrance music. Angus Troyer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lewis McLay's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lewis McLay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Angus Troyer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McLay gets tackled into the cage by Troyer. Troyer maintains the clinch.

McLay is trying to trip Troyer. He has hold of a leg but Troyer is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McLay persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
McLay with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
McLay throws a big right hand that misses.

McLay is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Troyer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Troyer has escaped and now he's on top!

McLay has his foot on Troyer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Troyer works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Troyer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Oh, another knee lands and McLay is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but McLay doesn't seem to be complaining.
