1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Ferguson! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferguson feints and as Travis raises his hands in defense, Ferguson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ferguson drops back looking for a leg! Travis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Travis manages to kick Ferguson off! Ferguson jumps back into Travis's guard. Travis has his feet on Ferguson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Travis blocks a head kick by Ferguson.
Travis has closed the distance and engaged Ferguson in a clinch.
Travis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Travis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Travis throws a right and a left that Ferguson avoids nicely. Ferguson walks into a stiff left hand from Travis. Travis moves into the clinch. Ferguson wants to get back to striking at distance but Travis won't allow it.

Ferguson keeps the fight on the outside. Nice sprawl there from Travis as Ferguson shoots in. Tyson Travis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Ferguson. Travis gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferguson is trying to get back to half guard. Travis cracks Ferguson with an elbow. That is naaassty. Travis scoring with punches and elbows. Ferguson is trying to get back to half guard. Travis lands a nice forearm strike. Ferguson is trying to improve his position. Ferguson manages to get back to half guard. Ferguson looks gassed! Travis wants to control but Ferguson is keeping him busy. Ferguson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Travis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Travis's back! Travis is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Ferguson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Travis has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Travis holding both Ferguson 's hands and preventing any damage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson looking for the choke but no joy. Travis is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Ferguson is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Travis with him. Travis is trying to defend but Ferguson has an arm under the chin now! Travis grimaces and is forced to tap out!
