Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Mcdonel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Mcdonel ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Doe! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdonel misses with a wild combination.
John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doe darts in and clinches Mcdonel up against the cage. Mcdonel looking to stall.
Doe scores with a shoulder strike. Doe lands a hook that snaps the head of Mcdonel backwards. Doe breaks the clinch.
Doe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mcdonel .
Mcdonel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mcdonel gets tackled into the cage by Doe. Doe maintains the clinch. Doe lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Doe makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Doe gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Doe sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdonel manages to get to full guard.
Doe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Doe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Doe wasn't active enough on the ground. Mcdonel has taken the fight to the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Doe.
Doe lands with a short head shot on the inside. Doe goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mcdonel prevents it.
Mcdonel can't break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mcdonel throws a front kick aimed at Doe's knee but Doe avoids it well. Doe has closed the distance and engaged Mcdonel in a clinch.
Mcdonel wants to break free but Doe has control.
Doe lands with a right to the head. Doe breaks the clinch.
Doe rushes Mcdonel and presses him up against the cage. Doe breaks the clinch.
Mcdonel looks for a takedown but Doe sprawls well. Doe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mcdonel . Doe has Mcdonel up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Doe.
Doe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Doe tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Mcdonel working hard to break the clinch. Doe managing to block the knees to the body from Mcdonel .
Mcdonel is looking to break free of the clinch but Doe has double underhooks. Mcdonel is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Doe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Doe tries to clinch up. Doe avoids the head kick by Mcdonel .
A looping hook to the body misses from Mcdonel . Doe does a little dance to reset his feet. Doe finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Doe takes the fight into the clinch. Doe looks gassed! Mcdonel tries to circle away but Doe has him pinned against the cage. Doe gets through Mcdonel 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Doe scores with a nice hook to the head. Mcdonel takes a shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mcdonel is looking to break free of the clinch but Doe has double underhooks. Doe breaks the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Doe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mcdonel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Doe smiles and moves away.
Doe gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Doe works on Mcdonel 's body with a couple of short punches. Doe tries for a takedown but Mcdonel manages to get underhooks.
Doe is trying to maintain a safe position but Mcdonel gets an underhook and turns Doe into the cage. Doe goes for a takedown attempt but Mcdonel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jesse Mcdonel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Mcdonel dives in and grabs Doe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doe pushes down on Mcdonel 's head and hops out. Mcdonel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Doe sprawls well. Doe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcdonel gets slowly back to his feet. Doe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mcdonel to score an easy takedown into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Doe gets tackled into the cage by Mcdonel . Mcdonel maintains the clinch. Mcdonel tries to break free but Doe pushes him back against the cage. Doe cracks Mcdonel with a nice body shot. Doe gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Doe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mcdonel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mcdonel off to one side. Mcdonel scores with a three punch combo!
Doe gets tackled into the cage by Mcdonel . Mcdonel maintains the clinch. Doe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Left hook, right uppercut from Mcdonel . Doe shoots in and drives through. Mcdonel sprawls well. Doe is breathing heavily. Mcdonel throws a right hand that Doe ducks under and follows up with a left that Doe also avoids with ease. Doe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doe wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe doesn't manage to clinch there - Mcdonel circles away.
Mcdonel instigates a clinch. Mcdonel decides to pull guard. Mcdonel wants to get back to his feet but Doe is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcdonel wants to sweep here but Doe controlling him for the moment. Doe trying to control but Mcdonel is working from the bottom. Doe wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Mcdonel 's closed guard. He's half up but Mcdonel has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Mcdonel pivots and extends the arm, Doe falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Mcdonel ! Well done that man!
