Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raymond Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Foster!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster gets caught napping as Lee dives in and scores a takedown. Foster manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lee looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Foster is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foster keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lee sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Foster defending well though.
Lee wants to take a breather but Foster is having none of it.

Foster is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard.
Foster is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Foster avoid being mounted?
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Foster is trying to get back to full guard.

Foster scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lee manages to mount him!
Foster wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away.
Lee wants to control the pace but Foster is squirming around nicely.

Lee lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Lee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Foster is looking to escape.
Foster tries to lock up and control but Lee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Foster keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Foster holds on to Lee as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Foster is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Foster wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Foster is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lee is staying active.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Foster counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Foster.
Lee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Foster trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Foster with a flurry of punches that miss.
Foster is looking to advance position but Lee has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Poor strikes thrown by Lee there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee scoring with strikes but Foster is staying in there.
Foster regains half guard.

Foster kicks off Lee and gets to his feet.
Raymond Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lee thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Foster can't escape the position.

Foster sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are battling for position here. Foster manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Foster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lee manages to get himself to full guard.

Foster slips nicely into half guard.
Foster wants to take a breather but Lee is having none of it.

Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Foster.
Foster is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Foster is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Foster might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lee kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Foster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Foster looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lee is trying to stand back up but Foster is controlling him
Still in half guard, Foster seems content to control.
Lee is staying active underneath Foster, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Foster working Lee over with strikes.
Foster seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Foster was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Horrible takedown by Foster or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.
Lee shoots and misses

and Foster counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lee's guard now.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Foster from controlling successfully.
Foster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Foster trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Foster stays in close to Lee's body and controls the position.

James Foster has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Foster misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Foster closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lee circles away.
Raymond Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Foster.

and Lee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Foster's guard.

Lee won't allow Foster to sweep him here.
Foster is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Foster is on top in guard.
Foster won't allow Lee to sweep him here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Foster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Foster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Foster passes Lee's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Foster thows a huge punch but Lee dodges it nicely.
Foster is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Foster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Foster has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
