Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rock Action (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoffman has chosen click here as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rock Action had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Action's guard.
Hoffman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hoffman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Action swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hoffman wants to get up but he can't break Action's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hoffman stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hoffman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Action on the side of the head.
Hoffman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Action counters by clinching up.
Hoffman fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Action throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hoffman is trying to break the clinch but Action has him pressed against the cage.

Action looking to throw knees to the head but Hoffman is blocking nicely.
Action misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hoffman.
Action tries to score a body lock takedown but Hoffman shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Action content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Hoffman jumps guard but Action stands there with Hoffman around his waist. Hoffman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hoffman wants to get back to striking at distance but Action won't allow it.

Hoffman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Action moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Hoffman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Hoffman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Action tries to clinch but Hoffman is having none of it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hoffman.
A jab lands there for Hoffman.
Hoffman does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hoffman throws a series of strikes that have Action backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hoffman tests Action's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hoffman throws a one two combo.
Hoffman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Action to the mat! Action manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoffman tries to free his leg and advance position but Action is retaining full guard.
Hoffman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Hoffman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Albert Hoffman wasn't active enough on the ground.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hoffman.

Hoffman's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hoffman duly obliges.
Action closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hoffman's guard.
Hoffman wants to stand but Action is controlling the position.
Hoffman pulls Action in close to his closed guard and prevents Action from doing any damage or advancing position.

Hoffman manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Action on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Action drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hoffman scores with a nice right hand.

Hoffman works over Action's head and body with a nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Action is looking to clinch but Hoffman is avoiding it.
Hoffman looks to land a combination. Action sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Oooooh!!! Hoffman has knocked Action down with a huge combo! Hoffman steps away and waves a wobbly Action back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Action is rocked!
Hoffman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Action looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oh Action is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Action gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Action tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Hoffman is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Action buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Action!! Action is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Hoffman throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Albert Hoffman!
