Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Olympus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rammon Dekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dekkers has chosen House Of Pain as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Apollo Olympus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rammon Dekkers! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olympus gets a double leg takedown into Dekkers's guard. Dekkers is looking to stand up but Olympus isn't so interested in that idea. Dekkers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Olympus controls the pace. Olympus stops Dekkers from standing up. Olympus sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Apollo Olympus. Dekkers slaps away a takedown attempt from Olympus, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dekkers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Olympus avoids the head kick by Dekkers.
Dekkers lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Olympus backs up against the cage.
Dekkers throws a lazy head kick and Olympus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dekkers's guard. Dekkers pushes Olympus off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dekkers misses with the combination.

Dekkers tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Olympus takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Olympus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dekkers for as long as he can get away with.

Olympus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Apollo Olympus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dekkers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

And that's the end of the fight! Apollo Olympus showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Olympus, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
