Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Vasquel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes to the cage accompanied by Fatal. Vasquel has chosen Halo-Street Fighter as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquel has his takedown stuffed
and Liddell counters with a nice uppercut.
Vasquel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Liddell lands a nice hook to Vasquel's body. Vasquel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vasquel looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vasquel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Liddell moves in looking to clinch but Vasquel pushes him off.

Liddell lands a big right hand that sends Vasquel crashing to the mat! Liddell stays standing though and waves Vasquel back to his feet!

It looks like Prince Vasquel has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddell fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vasquel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Liddell thows a leg kick but Vasquel checks it
and Vasquel counters with a low kick, right behind Liddell 's knee.
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasquel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vasquel misses with a hook
and Liddell counters with a leg kick.
Liddell throws an overhand right that drops Vasquel like a sack of potatoes! Liddell dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
