Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wacek Pierdzialowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pot Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pot Head has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wacek Pierdzialowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Pot Head!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pierdzialowski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Head gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Pierdzialowski counters with a straight right hand.

Pierdzialowski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Head's guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pierdzialowski is pushing down on Head's leg trying to pass to half guard. Head is fighting to maintain full guard but Pierdzialowski has managed to sneak the leg through.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pot Head hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Pierdzialowski seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Head for as long as he can get away with.
Pierdzialowski passes Head's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Head wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pierdzialowski is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Head!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pierdzialowski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Head is desperately trying to improve his position but Pierdzialowski has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Head connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Pierdzialowski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Head tries to buck Pierdzialowski off but Pierdzialowski is having none of it.
Pierdzialowski slows the pace down.

Pierdzialowski decides to stand back up. Pierdzialowski steps back and let's Head get back to his feet.

Head moves into the clinch.
Head tries to break the clinch but Pierdzialowski is controlling the position.
Head tries to pull guard but Pierdzialowski holds him up against the cage and eventually Head drops back down to his feet.

Pierdzialowski could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Head wants a takedown but no success here.
Head tries to pull guard but Pierdzialowski won't allow it.
Wacek Pierdzialowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pot Head.
Head tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pierdzialowski smiles and moves away.
Pierdzialowski moves out of range as Head throws a body kick.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Head tries for a takedown but Pierdzialowski circles away easily

and Pierdzialowski counters by clinching up.

Head fails to pull guard.
Pierdzialowski drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Head gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pierdzialowski has Head pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pierdzialowski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Head tumbling to the mat - Pierdzialowski dives into Head's guard.

Head is trying to control the position from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Head working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pierdzialowski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pierdzialowski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Head misses with a takedown

and Pierdzialowski counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Pierdzialowski content to control rather than advance.
Pierdzialowski prevents Head from improving his position.
Head is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, if Pierdzialowski is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pierdzialowski stops Head from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Wacek Pierdzialowski just wasn't active enough.
Head fails with the takedown

and Pierdzialowski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Head won't be happy with that.

Head is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Pierdzialowski has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Head can't escape the position.

Pierdzialowski controlling from the full mount.
Head tries to hold on but Pierdzialowski postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Head has given up his back here. Will Pierdzialowski look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Wacek Pierdzialowski showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pierdzialowski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
