Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Sirius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Sirius!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Sirius swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lee takes the fight into the clinch.
Sirius has Lee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Sirius jumps guard.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Sirius is keeping the position.
Sirius is trying to control the position but Lee postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sirius's head.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Sirius is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sirius has momentary wrist control but Lee slips an elbow through the middle.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Sirius is keeping the position.

Lee decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sirius's waist but Sirius gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.

Sirius gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.
Sirius lands a good knee to the midsection. Lee won't want to take too many of those.

Sirius breaks from the clinch.

Sirius tries to keep at a distance but Lee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sirius is pressed up against the cage. Lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sirius down to the mat. Sirius avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Sirius has his takedown stuffed
and Lee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lee darts in trying to clinch

and Sirius counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Lee makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lee.

Sirius must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lee takes the fight into the clinch.
Sirius misses with a hook from the clinch.

Lee is trying to keep Sirius in close.

Sirius avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sirius is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control.

Sirius throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Lee wants to sweep but no luck.

Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sirius is fighting to break Lee's control of his arms but Lee is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Sirius trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Lee will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sirius as he jumps to the side.
Sirius wants to clinch
letting Lee counter with a right hand.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.

Sirius closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sirius pulls guard successfully.
Lee won't allow Sirius to get back to his feet.
Sirius keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass.

Lee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Lee is looking to clinch but Sirius is avoiding it.
Lee's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sirius connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lee scrambles back to his feet.

Sirius looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lee gets a clinch.
Sirius avoids a wild elbow strike from Lee.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lee is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Sirius gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Sirius seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lee wants to control but Sirius is keeping busy.
Lee manages to get to full guard.

Lee looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lee looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Sirius looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lee pushes down on Sirius's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Lee seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sirius makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sirius.
Sirius is breathing heavily.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sirius swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sirius is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lee is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bruce Lee.

Lee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Lee goes for a takedown attempt but Sirius pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sirius connects with a body shot that sends Lee's belly button to the back.
Lee is looking to clinch but Sirius is avoiding it.
No luck for Sirius with that takedown attempt.
Lee connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Lee will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Lee lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sirius tries to clinch up but Lee circles away and keeps his distance.
Sirius tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sirius is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lee.

Lee rushes Sirius and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside.
Lee tries to clinch up
and Sirius counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lee clinches with his opponent.
Sirius tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lee smiles and moves away.

Sirius gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sirius isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lee stacks Sirius on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lee!
Sirius takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sirius, who protects the arm well.

Lee decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Sirius gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.
Lee prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lee is trying to push Sirius away but Sirius has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sirius stalls.
Sirius has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Sirius.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sirius, as that shot connected.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sirius tries to keep at a distance but Lee has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sirius escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sirius fails with a takedown attempt.

Lee jumps into guard, dragging Sirius to the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
