Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Malham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Wolfen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malham comes to the ring accompanied by Amorphis - House of Sleep. Wes Wolfen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Malham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wes Wolfen!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolfen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Malham.

Malham tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wolfen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Malham scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Malham is trying to control. Wolfen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Malham is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wolfen defends it well.
Wolfen tries to roll over but Malham keeps him under control.
Malham is looking to take a break and control but Wolfen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wolfen is trying to maintain the position but Malham is very close to passing his half guard.

Malham throws a chopping leg kick but Wolfen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

John Malham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Malham gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wolfen throws a lazy right hand but Malham sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Malham connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wolfen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Malham can pounce on him.
Malham keeps the fight on the outside.
Malham changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wolfen tries to avoid it but Malham manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wolfen to the ground. Wolfen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Malham counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Malham counters with a nice kick to the body.

Wolfen wants to land a leg kick but Malham is out of range.
Malham dives in and grabs Wolfen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wolfen pushes down on Malham's head and hops out.

Wolfen misses with a right hand

and Malham counters by moving into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malham lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Malham blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Malham is working for a kimura but Wolfen is defending it quite comfortably.

Malham wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Wolfen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malham manages to avoid it.

Malham passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wolfen!

Malham prevents Wolfen from getting the reversal.

Malham connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Malham fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wolfen.
Wolfen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Malham pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Malham lands a body shot.
Malham tries to work over Wolfen's front leg with a kick but Wolfen checks it.

Malham has closed the distance and engaged Wolfen in a clinch.
Malham prevents a body shot from Wolfen.
Malham is trying to drag Wolfen to the mat but Wolfen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Malham breaks from the clinch.
Malham attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Malham throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wolfen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Malham counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Malham throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Malham darts in and clinches Wolfen up against the ropes.
Malham lands a hook to the side of the head.
Wolfen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Wolfen tries to work over Malham's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A nice right hand lands inside from Wolfen.
Wolfen misses with a body punch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Malham as Wolfen tries to tie him up.
A short body shot lands from Wolfen as the two fighters clinch.
Wolfen misses with a hook to the ribs.
Malham has had enough of the clinch but Wolfen keeps him there for the moment.
Malham tries to break the clinch but Wolfen is controlling the position.

Malham's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wolfen closes the distance but Malham moves to the side

John Malham overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Malham is keen to just control but Wolfen is a slippery customer.

Wolfen tries to reverse the position but Malham maintains control.
Malham wants to control the pace but Wolfen is squirming around nicely.

Wolfen tries to lock up and control but Malham gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Wolfen holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Malham tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Wolfen tries to hold on but Malham postures up.

Wolfen is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Malham has taken his back!

John Malham is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Malham working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Wolfen is doing well to defend. Malham seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Wolfen is forced to tap and this one is over!
