The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Emelianenko or perhaps it was just good defense by Streburg which made him look bad.
Emelianenko lands with a nice combination. Streburg backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Jan Streburg has been cut.
Streburg tries to clinch up but Emelianenko circles away and keeps his distance.
Emelianenko shoots in and bounces Streburg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Emelianenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Streburg is retaining full guard.
Emelianenko stands up and waves to Streburg to follow him.
Emelianenko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Streburg sprawls well initially but Emelianenko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emelianenko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Streburg defends it well.

Emelianenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Streburg doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Emelianenko.
