Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cj Groove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Couture!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cj Groove!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture shoots in and gets a takedown into Groove's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Groove is on top in guard.
Groove drops back looking for a leg! Couture is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Couture manages to kick Groove off! Groove jumps back into Couture's guard.
Groove is pushing down on Couture's leg trying to pass to half guard. Couture is fighting to maintain full guard but Groove has managed to sneak the leg through.
Couture works his way to full guard. Good work.
Groove is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Couture is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Couture has escaped and now he's on top!
Groove trying to control the position.
Groove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Groove isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Couture stacks Groove on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Couture!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Couture goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Groove has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Couture but great work by Groove.
Groove thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Groove tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Groove has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Couture is looking to reverse the position.

Groove tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Groove is trying to get an arm triangle but Couture is defending well.
Couture can't do much from the bottom here.
Couture is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Groove's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Groove throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Groove is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Couture is looking to control Groove's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Couture avoid being mounted?
Groove is looking for a kimura but Couture is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Groove to get the leverage.
Couture might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Couture wants to control but Groove is keeping busy.
Groove thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Couture's head.
Couture is breathing heavily.
Groove has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Groove is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Groove extends the arm and Couture is forced to tap!
