2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lotney Fratelli! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Progbeniak checks a leg kick. Progbeniak fails to land the takedown. A combination from Fratelli does no damage. Progbeniak has a takedown stuffed. Fratelli connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Aleksandr Progbeniak has been cut. Fratelli drops Progbeniak with a beautiful combination! Progbeniak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fratelli is looking for the KO! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Progbeniak moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Fratelli wants to control but Progbeniak postures up. Progbeniak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fratelli keeps working.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fratelli can't do much from the bottom here. Fratelli tries to bench press Progbeniak off him but Progbeniak keeps the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fratelli is not content to let Progbeniak control the position. Fratelli wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Progbeniak looking for a guillotine from mount but Fratelli is having none of it. Progbeniak fails to advance to Fratelli's back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Progbeniak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Progbeniak lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Progbeniak looks for a takedown but Fratelli sprawls well. Fratelli scores with a nice head shot. No joy there for Fratelli, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
