Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio del Solar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). del Solar comes into the arena with Master of Puppetts blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Josh Masters enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antonio del Solar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Masters! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! del Solar tries to clinch up. del Solar tries to clinch but Masters is having none of it. del Solar bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. del Solar scores a takedown into full mount! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Masters blocking the ground and pound. Masters avoids a series of strikes thrown by del Solar.
del Solar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Masters is squirming around, avoiding del Solar's attempts to control the action. Masters's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Masters looks gassed! Masters holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as del Solar tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Masters is in a horrible position here. del Solar smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. del Solar with the ground and pound from mount. del Solar breaks from Masters's wrist control and lands an elbow. del Solar wants to control the pace but Masters is squirming around nicely. del Solar is landing with some decent strikes but Masters is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. del Solar is in the full mount, landing strikes. del Solar with shots to the head and body - Masters looks very uncomfortable down there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. del Solar thowing shots but they're missing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. del Solar working away from the top, dropping strikes. del Solar misses with a head shot. del Solar punching from mount but Masters doing a good job of avoiding damage. del Solar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

and Masters counters with a nice body shot. del Solar wants to clinch up but Masters keeps it at a distance. Masters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Masters bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. del Solar tries to clinch but Masters moves out of range. Masters cracks a nice hook into del Solar's ribs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. del Solar tries to bum rush Masters with a series of wild strikes but Masters uses good footwork to avoid the assault. del Solar shoots for a double leg takedown but Masters sprawls well. He's pushed del Solar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. del Solar misses with a head kick.
Josh Masters is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. del Solar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Masters swats him away and circles back towards the center. Donk. Masters catches del Solar right on the button with a cross. del Solar moves into the clinch successfully.
Masters breaks the clinch.
Masters connects with a body shot. Antonio del Solar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. del Solar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Masters. del Solar tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masters throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Masters scores with a nice head shot. Masters thuds a left hand into del Solar's body. Masters connects with a body shot that sends del Solar's belly button to the back. Masters throws a quick head kick that skims the top of del Solar's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Masters circles away from the clinch attempt.
Masters slaps away a takedown attempt from del Solar, before circling back to the center of the mat. del Solar throws a combination that misses and Masters counters with a head kick. A jab lands there for Masters. del Solar slips a jab and a cross from Masters.
Masters fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. del Solar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Masters pinned against the cage. Masters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio del Solar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masters keeps del Solar at a distance using the push kick. Masters scores with a jab to the body. Masters looks to land a combination. del Solar sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Masters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Masters throws a nice head kick!
del Solar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Masters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten del Solar somewhat. Masters throws a series of strikes that have del Solar backpedaling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. del Solar takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Masters lands a body shot.
Masters scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Masters lands a straight punch to the body, keeping del Solar at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! del Solar takes a body punch but keeps moving. Masters lands a nice looking body shot.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Masters misses with a double jab
and del Solar moves into the clinch. del Solar stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Masters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Masters parries the strikes from del Solar easily there. del Solar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Masters to escape.

Masters managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by del Solar.

Masters is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. del Solar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Masters sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. del Solar scores with a couple of short elbows. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Masters can do anything to dispel that myth. del Solar throws an elbow but Masters slips to the side and avoids it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. del Solar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
