Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johns comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the jungle. Daniel Walker is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Junior Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Walker!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker thuds a left hand into Johns's body.
Walker stuns Johns with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Walker lands a jab to Johns's midsection.
A jab lands there for Walker.
Johns shoots in for a double leg but Walker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Walker stuffs the takedown.
Walker leaves Johns with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Johns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walker cracks Johns with an open hand slap.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker lands a nice hook to Johns's body. Johns takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Junior Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Walker misses with a straight left.
Nice sprawl there from Walker as Johns shoots in.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Walker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Johns fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Walker scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Walker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Walker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Walker scores with a punch to the head.
Johns takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johns shoots for a takedown but Walker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Johns is looking to clinch but Walker is avoiding it.
Walker tests Johns's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Walker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johns misses with a takedown attempt - Walker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walker lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Johns showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Walker.

Johns scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Johns working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Walker gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Walker dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Walker lands a nice shot to the body.
Johns fails in his attempt to clinch.
Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johns.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Johns drives through with a takedown into guard.
Johns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Walker keeping moving, preventing Johns from controlling successfully.
Johns has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Walker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Johns.
Johns looking to pass the guard.
Walker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Johns trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Walker keeping full guard, as Johns tries to pass.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johns slips under a jab.
Walker lands a nice shot to the body.
Johns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johns shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walker misses with a hook. Johns ducked under it nicely.
Johns has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Johns there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Johns scores a takedown into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johns moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Walker has worked his arm free - good work by Walker!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Johns wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Walker, who protects the arm well.
Walker is not content to let Johns control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Junior Johns will probably get the nod.
That's time! Johns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns blocks a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johns takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Johns closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johns lands in his opponent's guard.
Johns trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Johns looking to pass the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johns thows a big elbow that misses.
Walker controlling the position.
Johns with a flurry of punches that miss.
Johns throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Johns trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johns drops back looking for a leg! Walker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walker manages to kick Johns off! Johns jumps back into Walker's guard.
Johns passes Walker's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johns is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Walker reverses the position - he's now on top in Johns's guard.
Johns looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there.
Walker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Johns lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Walker!
Walker tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Johns thowing shots but they're missing.
Johns misses with a head shot.
Johns trying to control but Walker is having none of it.

Johns moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Walker has worked his arm free - good work by Walker!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Johns tries to advance to mount but Walker denies him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Junior Johns showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Johns has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
