The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lutetium feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vasiljevs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Vasiljev tries to sprawl but Lutetium drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lutetium seems to be working for a kimura but Vasiljev defends the submission attempt.
Lutetium trying to mount his opponent but Vasiljev defends it.
Lutetium is looking for a kimura but Vasiljev is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lutetium to get the leverage.

Lutetium is stalling here. Vasiljev is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lutetium seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Vasiljev has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Vasiljev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lutetium, up you get!
Vasiljev takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lutetium bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lutetium goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Vasiljev has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lutetium but great work by Vasiljev.

Lutetium is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Vasiljev is staying active.

Lutetium closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lutetium has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vasiljev is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lutetium yanks on the arm and Vasiljev is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lutetium.
