Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stu Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fennil Rutabega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercer comes to the cage accompanied by Trapt-Still Frame. Stu Mercer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fennil Rutabega's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stu Mercer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fennil Rutabega! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rutabega throws a one two combo.
Mercer lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rutabega misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mercer is looking to chop away at Rutabega's legs. Stu Mercer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mercer clinches with his opponent.
Come on Mercer - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Rutabega drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mercer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rutabega swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mercer fails in his attempt to clinch. Rutabega checks a low kick from Mercer. Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rutabega paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rutabega circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutabega goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Mercer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rutabega lands a nice shot that snaps Mercer's head back.
Mercer throws a chopping leg kick but Rutabega manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Mercer tries to clinch there but Rutabega circles away.
Mercer wants to land a leg kick but Rutabega is out of range. Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rutabega swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mercer scores with a spinning back kick! Mercer slips a jab and a cross from Rutabega.
Mercer tries to clinch but Rutabega is having none of it. Mercer rushes Rutabega and presses him up against the cage. Mercer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rutabega up against the cage. Mercer lands an elbow inside that Rutabega shrugs off.
It looks like Fennil Rutabega has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rutabega tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Rutabega is trying to stall.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Mercer. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. The referee is keeping an eye on Mercer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Mercer connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rutabega's face.
That has opened up Fennil Rutabega's cut even more. Rutabega misses with a knee to the head. Rutabega tries for a takedown. No joy.
Stu Mercer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fennil Rutabega. Mercer prevents Rutabega from breaking the clinch. Rutabega wants to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercer connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rutabega's face.

Mercer lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Mercer putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rutabega in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Mercer prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mercer unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rutabega lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Mercer landing knees to the head.

Mercer lands a nice elbow. Nice elbow from Mercer. Mercer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The cut above Fennil Rutabega's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Mercer stalls.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mercer prevents the takedown attempt.
Mercer is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Mercer lands a hook that snaps the head of Rutabega backwards. Mercer lands an elbow inside that Rutabega shrugs off. Rutabega misses with a body punch.

Fennil Rutabega's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Mercer is stalling here.
Mercer lands a nice knee to the body. Mercer lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stu Mercer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fennil Rutabega's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mercer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Mercer is looking to clinch. Rutabega takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mercer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rutabega fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rutabega clobbers Mercer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mercer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mercer fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rutabega checks it well. Mercer moves in looking to clinch but Rutabega pushes him off. Mercer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rutabega connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mercer's hands. Mercer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rutabega swivels and escapes. Mercer lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercer fails in his attempt to clinch. Fennil Rutabega is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mercer moves into range and clinches up with Rutabega. Mercer connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rutabega's face.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mercer walks away with a smile on his face. Rutabega gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mercer forces Rutabega back against the cage and clinches. Mercer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fennil Rutabega's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Stu Mercer!
