Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by LiL Wayne . Matthews has chosen Welcome To The Family as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Matthews! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matthews closes the distance and clinches. Come on Matthews - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Matthews manages to get underhooks.
Matthews has Jackson pushed against the cage. Matthews has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Matthews jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Matthews. Matthews lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson! Matthews punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matthews looking to control and managing it successfully. Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Matthews controlling from the full mount. Matthews moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jackson has worked his arm free - good work by Jackson!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Matthews lands a nice forearm strike. Matthews trying to control the position but Jackson is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is looking for a sweep. Jackson is breathing heavily. Matthews stands up and beckons Jackson to his feet. Matthews throws a head kick that Jackson semi-blocks.
Matthews shoots and misses and Jackson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Matthews wants to break free but Jackson has control.
Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Matthews avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jackson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Matthews gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Matthews stalling against the cage.

Jackson fails with the takedown and Matthews counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Matthews controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Matthews tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard. Matthews slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Matthews trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clay Matthews dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Matthews misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Matthews shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jackson darts in and clinches Matthews up against the cage. Jackson pulls guard successfully.
Matthews throws a big right hand that misses. Jackson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matthews postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Matthews is proving a slippery customer.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Matthews's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matthews wants to sweep but no luck. Matthews will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Matthews is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Matthews has his hands on Jackson's head, controlling the position. Matthews doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Matthews can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Matthews trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Matthews is looking to escape. Matthews wants to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson prevents Matthews from getting the reversal. Matthews tries to hold on but Jackson postures up. Matthews is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action. Matthews is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jackson moves to take his opponent's back.

Quinton Jackson dominated that second round. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Matthews but Matthews pushes him off and we're back to square one. Matthews scores with a kick to the midsection. Matthews shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jackson stuffs the takedown. No luck for Matthews with that takedown attempt. Quinton Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Matthews. Matthews with a lazy takedown attempt and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Matthews's guard now. Matthews is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Matthews is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Matthews, up you get!

Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Matthews defends it nicely. Matthews closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Matthews pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Matthews looks to throw a body kick and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Matthews's guard now. Matthews is trying to keep Jackson in close.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Matthews keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson forces his way into half guard. Matthews is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard. Jackson tries to pass to full mount but Matthews defends it. Matthews has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though. Jackson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matthews tries to get to full guard but Jackson has control of the leg. Matthews has one foot on Jackson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Matthews as he avoids it easily. Decent striking displayed by Matthews there. Matthews throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Matthews scores a takedown into full mount! Matthews goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jackson turns into him and now he's in Matthews's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matthews swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jackson stops Matthews from standing up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matthews wants to control but Jackson passes easily into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
