Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Dalit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Dalit!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a lazy body kick
and Dalit counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chris Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dalit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dalit. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dalit checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dalit is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Dalit must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well Dalit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
