Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bull Terrier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Quioxte! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quioxte throws an off balance right hand
and Terrier counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Terrier scores with a three punch combo!
Terrier throws a right hand that Quioxte ducks under and follows up with a left that Quioxte also avoids with ease. Quioxte misses with an uppercut
and Terrier counters with a three punch combo that has Quioxte backing up. Quioxte nods at Terrier to acknowledge the strikes. Terrier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Quioxte throws a predictable looking body shot
and Terrier counters with a left to the body. A punch combination from Terrier misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quioxte showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Terrier.
Quioxte has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Terrier finds it's way round the side to connect with Quioxte's head. Quioxte throws a poor cross that misses
and Terrier counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Terrier throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Terrier misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Terrier lands the left hand. Terrier digs a good hook to Quioxte's body.
Terrier looks to land a combination but Quioxte avoids it well. Terrier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Quioxte counters with a crisp one two that drops Terrier! Quioxte thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Terrier to his feet! Terrier is in big trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terrier misses with the combination.
Terrier avoids the body shot from Quioxte.
Quioxte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Terrier.
Bull Terrier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quioxte takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Quioxte is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Terrier.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Terrier blocks a leg kick. Terrier throws a right and a left that Quioxte avoids nicely. Terrier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Terrier misses the shot to the body. Terrier looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Terrier with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bull Terrier dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Quioxte takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nice shot by Terrier. Terrier throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Good standup being displayed there by Terrier as he connects with a hook. Terrier throws a series of strikes that have Quioxte backpedaling.
Terrier is looking to wear down Quioxte with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Terrier scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terrier cracks Quioxte with a good jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Terrier. Quioxte does a little dance to reset his feet. Bull Terrier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Terrier blocks the body kick.
Terrier ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Terrier misses with a body shot
and Quioxte counters with a slapping leg kick. Both fighters circling a little - Quioxte finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quioxte looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Quioxte throws a solid leg kick but Terrier takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Quioxte. Terrier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quioxte moves away. Terrier throws a sloppy body shot
and Quioxte counters with a crisp one two that drops Terrier! Quioxte thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Terrier to his feet! Terrier is in big trouble!
Terrier is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Terrier lands a nice looking body shot.
Oh Terrier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quioxte looks to score with a jab to the body but Terrier is just out of range. Terrier seems to have got his legs back now. A telegraphed right hand from Terrier misses the target. Quioxte goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Quioxte tries to move into range but Terrier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Terrier connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Terrier punishes Quioxte's body with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Terrier darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Quioxte uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Terrier. A left and a right from Terrier both land. Nice combination. Quioxte scores with a nice body kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quioxte throws a head kick but Terrier moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manny Quioxte showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Terrier throws a good cross that connects.
Quioxte avoids a punch combination nicely.
Terrier is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Quioxte moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Manny Quioxte!
