Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grigori Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrick Skiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasputin comes to the cage accompanied by Ten Million Slaves. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grigori Rasputin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrick Skiter! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skiter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Skiter misses with a right hand and Rasputin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rasputin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skiter was well out of range. Poor timing from Rasputin. Skiter throws a right hand that misses
and Rasputin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Skiter misses with a series of wild punches.
Grigori Rasputin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rasputin slips under a jab. Skiter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Skiter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Skiter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rasputin counters with a lovely shot to the body. Rasputin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Skiter manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin lands with a cross. Rasputin misses with a lunging right hand
and Rasputin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rasputin throws a right hand that misses
and Skiter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rasputin's corner calls for a 1-2. Rasputin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Rasputin misses with a hook
enabling Skiter to counter with a crisp jab. Rasputin throws an off balance right hand
and Skiter counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rasputin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Skiter misses with an uppercut
and Rasputin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Skiter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rasputin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Skiter misses with a body punch
letting Rasputin counter with a right hand. Skiter defending well as Rasputin loads up on a big left hand. Rasputin misses the jab. Skiter throws a right hand that misses
and Rasputin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rasputin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rasputin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Skiter has time to react.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skiter throws a poor cross that misses
and Rasputin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rasputin missing with a left hand there. Skiter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Rasputin throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Skiter to counter with a crisp jab. Rasputin lands with an uppercut that bounces Skiter off the cage and back into rage. Skiter might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Rasputin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Skiter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skiter misses with an uppercut
and Rasputin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Skiter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rasputin throws a right hand that misses
and Skiter counters with a straight right hand. Rasputin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Skiter. Rasputin throws a poor cross that misses
and Skiter counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rasputin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rasputin misses with an uppercut
and Skiter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Skiter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rasputin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Grigori Rasputin will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rasputin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Rasputin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Skiter counters with a stiff right hand. Skiter throws a jab when Rasputin was well out of range. Skiter scores with a nice right hand.
Rasputin is rocked! BOOM! Skiter lands a beautiful left hook that drops Rasputin. Rasputin tries to recover but Skiter is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Rasputin lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodrick Skiter! Rodrick Skiter is the new middleweight champion!
