Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jin Hiei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cauliflower Ears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jin Hiei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cauliflower Ears! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ears has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Cauliflower Ears has been cut. Ears shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ears was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ears content just to control the position here. Hiei tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ears takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like Ears might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Ears should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hiei really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ears controlling from mount. Ears avoids the attempt from Hiei to control. Ears sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Let's hope that Ears has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hiei really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ears controlling the position easily from mount.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Cauliflower Ears hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ears circles away from the clinch attempt so Ears counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ears is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hiei will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cauliflower Ears wasn't active enough on the ground. Ears throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hiei was covering up waiting for the punch and Ears finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ears showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ears looks gassed! Ears passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hiei tries to buck Ears off but Ears is having none of it. Ears remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Hiei tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ears wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hiei is pushing Ears's head away, looking to escape. Ears manages to hold on to the position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cauliflower Ears dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cauliflower Ears's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ears shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ears won't allow Hiei to get back to his feet. Ears is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hiei is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hiei keeping full guard, as Ears tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ears slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ears passes Hiei's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ears is breathing heavily. Ears controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hiei wants to control but Ears is keeping busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hiei lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hiei doesn't manage to clinch there - Ears circles away.
Hiei tries to close the distance and clinch but Ears swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hiei drops Ears with a beautiful combination! Ears stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hiei is looking for the KO!
Ears is rocked! Hiei tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ears manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ears is still on wobbly legs! Can Hiei finish him? Hiei keeps Ears at a distance using the push kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ears swats away the attempt to clinch by Hiei. Hiei connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ears - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jin Hiei!
