Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tarmo Suulas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suulas comes into the arena with Hollywood Undead - Undead blaring out of the sound system. Cory Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Cory Jones! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suulas shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Suulas trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Suulas prevents Jones from getting back to his feet. Suulas throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Jones thows a big elbow that misses. Jones throws a strike but Suulas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suulas lands a couple of digs. Suulas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Suulas trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Suulas throws a big right hand that misses. Suulas won't allow Jones to get back to his feet. Suulas trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Suulas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jones wants to stand but Suulas is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Suulas wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Suulas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suulas lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Suulas's guard. Suulas trying to strike off his back.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Suulas wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Suulas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jones is in close to Suulas's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jones pushes down on Suulas's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones thows a huge punch but Suulas dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Suulas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jones is working for a kimura but Suulas is defending it quite comfortably.

Jones moves to clinch but Suulas breaks away and Suulas counters with a nice body shot. Suulas pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Suulas gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Suulas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Suulas is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Suulas has escaped and now he's on top! Suulas postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Suulas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suulas is one step ahead there. Suulas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Suulas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Suulas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jones's head. Suulas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Suulas working some strikes from top position. Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suulas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Suulas is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones kicks off Suulas and gets to his feet. Cory Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Suulas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Suulas flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Suulas passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones! Tarmo Suulas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to hold on but Suulas postures up. Tarmo Suulas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Suulas landing punches. Jones taking shots to the head. Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! Tarmo Suulas showed his dominance in that final round. Well Suulas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
