Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niko Bellic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellic kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pursuit Of Happiness. The key to victory for Niko Bellic has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niko Bellic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derek Dent! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bellic's guard. Dent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bellic swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bellic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dent controls the pace. Dent avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dent passes Bellic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dent sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Derek Dent has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Bellic stuffs the takedown. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dent. Dent controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Derek Dent wasn't active enough on the ground. Dent shoots in and bounces Bellic off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dent showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derek Dent dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bellic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bellic lands in his opponent's guard. Dent wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dent keeping moving, preventing Bellic from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dent can do anything to dispel that myth. Dent looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Niko Bellic wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bellic fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dent gets the takedown into side control. Bellic stops Dent from passing to mount. Dent postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bellic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dent wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dent trying to control the position but Bellic is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dent might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bellic kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bellic wants to control but Dent postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Derek Dent was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bellic throws the left hand but Dent avoids the punch easily. A left lands for Bellic. Bellic scores with a hook to the body. Dent takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bellic fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Niko Bellic dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Dent shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dent tries to sprawl but Bellic drives through with a takedown into half guard. Dent is looking to improve his position.
Bellic wants to control but Dent is keeping him busy. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Niko Bellic. Bellic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bellic lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dent at a distance.
Niko Bellic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dent misses with a combination
and Bellic counters with a right hand to the body. Dent with a poor takedown and Bellic counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dent misses with a takedown attempt letting Bellic counter with a right hand. Niko Bellic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Dent. Dent fails with the takedown and Dent takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bellic cracks Dent with an open hand slap. Dent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bellic avoids it really well and circles away. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dent shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dent showed some decent athleticism there. Dent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bellic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dent is keen to just control but Bellic is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dent in particular looking to stall. Let's hope that Dent has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Derek Dent. Dent misses with a takedown attempt and Dent takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bellic is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Dent swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bellic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A jab lands there for Bellic.
And that's the end of the fight! Niko Bellic showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bellic has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
