Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rik Spahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mer Quiroz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spahn comes to the cage accompanied by Slap my elbow. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rik Spahn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mer Quiroz! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quiroz scores with a nice right hand.
Spahn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Spahn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Spahn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spahn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Spahn wants to control from the top but Quiroz keeps moving. Quiroz wants to stand but Spahn is controlling the position. Spahn wants to control from the top but Quiroz keeps moving. Quiroz being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Quiroz keeping full guard, as Spahn tries to pass. Spahn trying to control but Quiroz is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Rik Spahn just wasn't active enough. Spahn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Quiroz counters with a right hand to the body. Spahn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Quiroz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A punch lands to the side of Spahn 's head but he takes it in his stride. Good standup being displayed there by Quiroz as he connects with a hook. Mer Quiroz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quiroz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Spahn momentarily.
Quiroz lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quiroz scores with a crisp jab that stopped Spahn in his tracks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quiroz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spahn. Spahn is breathing heavily. Spahn has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Rik Spahn has been cut. Quiroz swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Spahn. Spahn takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Quiroz connects with a crisp jab. Spahn looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Quiroz lands a jab to the head.
Quiroz lands with a right and another and another! Spahn is in big trouble! Quiroz lands again and this time it's lights out for Spahn! A quality knockout there for Quiroz.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mer Quiroz!
