Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Steel! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel misses with a lunging right hand
and Thomas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Thomas throws the left hand but Steel avoids the punch easily. Thomas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Steel counters with a nice body shot. Steel takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Darius Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas misses with a hook
and Steel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thomas thinking. Thomas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Darius Thomas has been cut. Thomas throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Steel counters with an inside leg kick. Thomas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Steel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Thomas misses with a jab to the body
and Steel counters with a straight right hand. Thomas works the jab nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Thomas misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Steel dominated that round. The cut man is working on Darius Thomas's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Thomas throws a combination that misses and Steel counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A slow jab from Steel misses its intended target.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Thomas might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Darius Thomas's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Darius Thomas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Thomas keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Thomas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Steel looks to land a right hand but Thomas moved out of range. Max Steel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Thomas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Thomas misses with a lunging right hand
and Steel counters with a nice kick to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Max Steel. Well Steel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
