The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Ives thows a body shot but no joy. St Ives throws a lazy uppercut
and Childs counters with a nice uppercut. Childs throws a head kick but St Ives moves out of range.
Childs walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. St Ives checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. St Ives looks to land a left hand but Childs moved out of range nicely. St Ives has his takedown stuffed and Childs counters with a good, hard body kick but St Ives shrugs it off. St Ives closes this distance looking for a takedown but Childs circles away. Childs throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Pierre St Ives seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Childs scores with a head kick. St Ives tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Childs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from St Ives.
