Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitter Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Van Gogh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee comes to the cage accompanied by Elephant Man - Haters (feat Hunt & Jim Jones) . Van Gogh is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Carl Orff - O Fortuna. Hitter Dee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hitter Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Van Gogh!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee misses with a wild body shot.
Some wild striking there from Dee.
Sloppy strikes from Dee. Those never looked like landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dee falls off balance throwing a combination
and Van Gogh counters with a good, hard body kick but Dee shrugs it off.

Dee takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Van Gogh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dee was well out of range. Poor timing from Van Gogh.
Dee stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Van Gogh.

Van Gogh keeps the fight on the outside.
Dee misses with a double jab
and Van Gogh makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Dee really felt that one!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dee tries to close the distance and clinch but Van Gogh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Van Gogh is looking to slow Dee down with leg kicks.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dee throws a lazy head kick
and Van Gogh counters with a thumping low kick.
Van Gogh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dee misses with a jab to the body
and Van Gogh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Van Gogh throws a body kick the misses
and Dee counters with a two punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Van Gogh counters with a thumping low kick.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vincent Van Gogh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Van Gogh tries to land a front kick but Dee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Hitter Dee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Van Gogh throws a wild body kick that Dee sees coming a mile off.

and Van Gogh counters with a leg kick.
Van Gogh lands with a hook. Dee tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Dee throws a combination that misses
and Van Gogh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dee throws a head kick that misses
and Van Gogh counters with a right hand to the body.
Dee takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

A slapping body kick lands there for Van Gogh.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Dee might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Vincent Van Gogh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Van Gogh jabs Dee to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Hitter Dee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Vincent Van Gogh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Van Gogh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
