Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hammil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hammil might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to This Fire Burns. Henry Ngo has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Hammil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Ngo!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Hammil. Those never looked like landing.
Ngo moves in looking to clinch but Hammil pushes him off.

Ngo looking to score a takedown here. Hammil is defending well but Ngo drives through and ends up in Hammil's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ngo wants to pass the guard but Hammil is keeping the position.
Ngo stops Hammil from standing up.
Ngo trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ngo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hammil swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Henry Ngo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Hammil.
No joy there for Ngo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ngo shoots in but no luck this time.
Hammil lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hammil.


It looks like Henry Ngo has been cut.

Ngo gets a double leg takedown into Hammil's guard.
Ngo landing some decent shots from guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ngo controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ngo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ngo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Hammil can't keep his opponent in guard - Ngo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ngo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ngo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hammil defending well though.
Ground and pound from Ngo.
Hammil is breathing heavily.

Ngo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hammil is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
