Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fullsize Mirror (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mirror might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ordinary Guy--- Blue Scholars. Russo has chosen Destroy Everything as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo misses with a two punch combination.
Mirror lands a nice shot that snaps Russo's head back.
Mirror looks to clinch and Russo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Russo checks a leg kick. Mirror tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Russo was well out of range. Poor timing from Mirror. Mirror misses with an uppercut
and Russo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Mirror misses the jab. Nice body punch from Russo. Russo misses with a left hand and Mirror counters with an inside leg kick. Mirror throws a left and a right that both miss
and Russo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mirror's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Russo throwing strikes but missing. Russo tries to free his leg and advance position but Mirror is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Russo throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russo scores with punches from side control. Russo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mirror knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Russo throws a strike aimed at the side of Mirror's head but Mirror avoids it well. Russo working the head with strikes. Russo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Russo tries to score with some ground and pound. Mirror controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Russo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mirror has escaped the position, nice work there. Mirror sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mirror trying to control but Russo postures up.
Mirror has a hand on Russo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Russo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Russo raining down shots from the mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Mirror that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Russo dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mirror doesn't manage to clinch there - Russo circles away.
Russo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mirror moves away. Mirror misses the body punch and Russo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Mirror just misses with a punch to the body.
Mirror slaps away a takedown attempt from Russo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mirror tries to clinch but Russo moves away and Russo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mirror is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Russo throws and elbow that misses. Mirror uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Russo's guard. Nice move by Mirror! Mirror would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Russo wants to sweep but no luck.

Mirror trying to control the position from guard on top but Russo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Russo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mirror has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Fullsize Mirror has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Mirror wants to clinch up but Russo keeps it at a distance. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Russo. Russo blocks a jab. Mirror wants to land a leg kick but Russo is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mirror misses with an uppercut
and Russo counters with a left to the body. Mirror looks to score with a jab to the body but Russo is just out of range. Mirror is looking to clinch but Russo is avoiding it.

and Russo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Russo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Russo scoring with strikes to the body and head. Mirror wants to get back to his feet. Russo throwing shots but Mirror is blocking nicely. Russo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Russo thows a huge punch but Mirror dodges it nicely.

and Russo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Russo is looking to take a break and control but Mirror is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mirror tries to get to full guard but Russo has control of the leg. Russo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mirror dips to his left and cracks Russo with an uppercut! Russo swats away the attempt to clinch by Mirror. Fullsize Mirror seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mirror works the jab nicely. Mirror lands a jab to Russo's midsection. Mirror misses with a right hand and Russo counters by clinching up. Mirror's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A low kick from Mirror is predictable there and Russo counters with a nice uppercut. Russo scores with a hook.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mirror tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Russo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Russo scores with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mirror stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Mirror misses with a looping right. Russo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Fullsize Mirror has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mirror misses with a lunging right hand

And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Russo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Russo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
