Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vince Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Hunter! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter throws a series of punches but Dixon avoids them all with ease. Hunter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dixon eats them both and turns towards Hunter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Vince Dixon has been cut. Hunter wants to land a leg kick but Dixon is out of range. Dixon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hunter counters with a left and a right that stings Dixon. Dixon fails with the takedown and Hunter counters with a single leg into guard. Dixon didn't expect that. Hunter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hunter postures up in Dixon's guard and throws a big left but Dixon blocks it. Hunter wanted to stand there but Dixon had control of the position. Dixon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hunter manages to get himself to full guard.
Dixon postures up and lands a big shot to Hunter's brow. Hunter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dixon passes Hunter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dixon moves nicely into side control. Hunter parries the strikes from Dixon easily there. Dixon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hunter to escape.
Hunter is not content to let Dixon control the position. Hunter avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dixon. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hunter can do anything to dispel that myth. Hunter dodges the ground and pound from Dixon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dixon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hunter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Hunter looks gassed! Dixon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working. Dixon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dixon wants to control but Hunter is keeping him busy. Dixon in side control, just content to control the action for now. Dixon has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hunter! Dixon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon controlling from the full mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dixon lands a big elbow. Dixon raining down shots from the mount!
It looks like Rick Hunter has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! A nice elbow there by Dixon.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dixon landing shots from mount. Dixon landing shots from mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dixon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Dixon looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vince Dixon dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dixon misses with a body kick. Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dixon is looking to get to half guard. Hunter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dixon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Dixon regains half guard. Dixon wants to control but Hunter is keeping busy.
Hunter looks to land a strike but Dixon avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Dixon has his feet on Hunter's thighs here. He's pushed Hunter off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hunter screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
