Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Buensuceso!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pagan tries to clinch up but Buensuceso circles away and keeps his distance.
Buensuceso misses with a two punch combination.
Buensuceso tries to clinch up.
Buensuceso tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pagan swivels and escapes.
Pagan misses with a body kick.
Pagan wants to clinch.
Buensuceso fails with a takedown attempt.
Buensuceso tries to clinch up but Pagan circles away and keeps his distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buensuceso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pagan shoots in and bounces Buensuceso off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pagan distracts Buensuceso with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pagan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pagan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pagan is working Buensuceso over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Pagan trying to control but Buensuceso is working from the bottom.
Pagan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Buensuceso's head.
Buensuceso seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Pagan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Buensuceso keeping moving, preventing Pagan from controlling successfully.
Pagan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Buensuceso looks gassed!

Buensuceso manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pagan manages to get himself to full guard.

Buensuceso is looking to stand up but Pagan won't let him.
Buensuceso pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pagan is keeping the position for now.
Pagan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pagan working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Buensuceso turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pagan off and cradles Buensuceso's limp body as Pagan celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rolando Pagan!
