Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joseph D Pistone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Steggman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pistone comes into the arena with Clint Mansell - Requiem for a Dream (Remix) blaring out of the sound system. Christian Steggman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pistone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steggman as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pistone. Pistone is looking to score with low kicks. Steggman on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pistone throws an off balance right hand
and Steggman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Steggman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pistone avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Steggman. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steggman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pistone defending well though. Pistone is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Pistone regains full guard. Nicely done. Pistone looking for a sweep. Not yet Pistone, not yet. Steggman is looking to work some ground and pound but Pistone has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steggman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Steggman is fighting to break Pistone's control of his arms but Pistone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Joseph D Pistone just wasn't active enough. Pistone cracks a nice hook into Steggman's ribs. Steggman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pistone on his heels. He'll look to pass Pistone's guard now, I'm sure. Pistone is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steggman with a nice head shot there. Steggman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steggman is in close to Pistone's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pistone controlling Steggman's posture. Steggman tries to free his leg and advance position but Pistone is retaining full guard. Pistone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Steggman is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Pistone moves to the back. Pistone is hanging on to Steggman's back as he tries to escape.
Steggman looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pistone is cranking Steggman's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Steggman! He's tightened the choke and Steggman is tapping out!
