Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pat Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Brose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Brose will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pat Barry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Brose! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Barry misses and Brose counters with a single leg into guard. Barry didn't expect that. Brose drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Barry manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brose has Barry in his guard. Brose throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Brose pulls Barry in to control the position. Brose has a closed guard, preventing Barry from standing up. Brose trying to control the position.
Brose is controlling Barry's posture. Brose throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Brose working for a triangle but Barry defends it easily.
Barry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Barry stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. Brose shoots in looking for a takedown. Barry tries to sprawl out of it but Brose keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Barry lands a big head kick that sends Brose tumbling to the mat! Barry takes a step backwards and waves Brose back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Ryan Brose has been cut. Barry throws a lazy head kick and Brose counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Barry trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Brose throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barry works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Brose is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barry is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barry has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brose is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barry defends well. Brose is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brose is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Brose has a closed guard, preventing Barry from standing up. Brose has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Brose doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Barry gets to his feet - Brose follows without any prompting. Barry throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Brose counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Barry is breathing heavily. Brose trying to control from half guard but Barry is working away. Barry is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brose throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Brose wants to work for an arm triangle but Barry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brose wants to control but Barry is keeping him busy. Brose is looking for a kimura here.

Brose looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Brose prevents Barry from getting back to his feet. Barry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ryan Brose has got the better of the ground game so far. Brose drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barry! Brose is looking for a sweep. Barry wants to stand but Brose has his arm trapped. Barry decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brose to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barry throws a sloppy head kick and Brose counters with a shoot takedown. Barry fights it but they end up in guard. Brose has gone for a leg lock! Barry slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brose's guard. Barry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barry has managed to get both his arms back between Brose's legs - danger averted. Brose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brose is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Brose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barry wants to get up but he can't break Brose's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Brose looking for a guillotine here but Barry defends easily.

Barry decides to stand back up. Barry steps back and let's Brose get back to his feet. A head kick by Barry misses and Brose counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brose. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brose trying to control the position from guard on top but Barry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brose postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brose, into his guard. Brose working for a triangle but Barry defends it easily.
Barry is looking to stand up but Brose won't let him. Brose is looking for a triangle but Barry pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Barry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Barry throws a sloppy head kick and Brose counters with a shoot takedown. Barry fights it but they end up in guard. Brose wants to control from the top but Barry keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brose won't allow Barry to get back to his feet. Brose with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Brose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ryan Brose's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
A head kick by Barry misses and Brose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Barry's guard. Brose showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Brose chips away with some ground and pound. Brose wants to control from the top but Barry keeps moving. Brose drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Barry dives on top into guard. Brose looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Barry passes into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brose is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brose looking for subs from the bottom but Barry mounts him! Barry stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. A head kick by Barry misses and Brose counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Brose has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brose sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Brose is looking to work his way around to Barry's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Barry is squirming around, avoiding Brose's attempts to control the action. Brose goes for an armbar but Barry turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Barry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barry has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brose is proving hard to escape from. Brose is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brose throws his legs up looking for a submission but Barry uses it to pass to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brose is looking to reverse the position. Barry stands up and beckons Brose to his feet. Pat Barry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Barry throws a sloppy head kick and Brose counters with a takedown into side control. Brose thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barry keeps working. Barry wants to get back to his feet but Brose drags him back down. Brose working the head and body with strikes. Brose trying to control the action but Barry is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brose lands some shots froms side control. Brose working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Brose is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barry is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Barry is pushing Brose's head away, looking to escape. Brose manages to hold on to the position though. Pat Barry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ryan Brose is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brose working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Brose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Brose winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
