Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tank McLair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teppo Peppo! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLair scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Teppo Peppo has been cut. McLair throws a series of punches but Peppo moves out of range. McLair throws a lazy right hand but Peppo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Peppo throws a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Peppo rushes McLair and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. McLair is trying to push Peppo away but Peppo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A right hook to the body lands for Peppo.
Peppo lands a right hand. Peppo tries to pull guard but McLair won't allow it.
McLair breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peppo sizes up McLair with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tank McLair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peppo dives in and grabs McLair's left leg, looking for a takedown. McLair pushes down on Peppo's head and hops out. McLair throws a series of punches but Peppo avoids them all with ease. Peppo looks to land a combination but McLair avoids it well. McLair misses with a lunging right hand
and Peppo counters with a nice double leg into side control. McLair won't be happy with that. Peppo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Peppo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Peppo tries for a kimura but McLair is defending well. Peppo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peppo tries to advance to mount but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peppo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Peppo throws an elbow but McLair slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McLair stops Peppo from passing to mount. The strikes coming from Peppo are missing the target in this wave of attacks. McLair is letting Peppo control him for a moment. Peppo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McLair seems a little lost for a moment, as Peppo dominates the positioning. Peppo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McLair, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLair is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Peppo asserts his dominance and retains side control. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Peppo is trying to get an arm triangle but McLair is defending well. McLair explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The fight stays on the outside here - Peppo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McLair misses with a double jab
and Peppo counters with a straight punch to the midsection. McLair walks into a straight right hand from Peppo. A telegraphed right hand from McLair misses the target. McLair lands a left and a right that send Peppo crashing to the mat, dazed. McLair thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tank McLair will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Teppo Peppo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McLair throws out a powerful jab. McLair drops Peppo with a straight right hand, right on the button! McLair follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tank McLair!
