The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thaijtah throws a head kick that misses
and Fagan counters with a single leg into guard. Thaijtah didn't expect that.
Thaijtah can't keep his opponent in guard - Fagan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Thaijtah wants to get back to his feet.
Fagan wants to work for an arm triangle but Thaijtah is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fagan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thaijtah does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fagan wants to pass the guard but Thaijtah is defending well.
Thaijtah pushes Fagan off looking to stand but Fagan dives back in and keeps control.
Fagan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thaijtah sees it coming and defends easily.
Fagan is looking to take a break and control but Thaijtah is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fagan is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Fagan stops Thaijtah from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fagan prevents Thaijtah from getting back to his feet.
Fagan throws a strike but Thaijtah rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fagan trying to keep a closed guard but Thaijtah is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Thaijtah trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fagan's guard.
Fagan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Thaijtah is posturing up here but Fagan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Thaijtah tries to roll out but it's too tight and Thaijtah has to tap! Slick submission there by Fagan!
