Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Great Gama!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gama circles away from the clinch attempt.
Savage misses with a hook
enabling Gama to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Nathan Savage has been cut.
Gama throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Savage counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Savage throws a right hand that misses
and Gama counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Savage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gama swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Savage has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Savage there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gama takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Savage takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Savage with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gama to score with a decent uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savage throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Gama counter with a right hand.
Savage misses with a right hand
and Gama makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Savage takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Savage throws a poor cross that misses
and Gama counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Savage swings widly with a right hand
and Gama counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Savage thinking.
Savage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gama swivels and escapes.
Gama ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Savage moves away.
Savage throws an off balance right hand
and Gama makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gama lands a nice hook to Savage's body. Savage takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gama cracks Savage with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Savage is rocked!
Savage bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oh Savage is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gama loads up on a big right hand but Savage slips the punch.
Savage seems to have got his legs back now.
Gama misses with a straight right.
Gama drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Savage right on the button. Savage goes down! Gama follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Gama gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Great Gama!
