Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le comes into the arena with Ave Maria blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Le! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Jorge! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jorge tries to clinch but Le moves away and Jorge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like James Jorge has been cut. Jorge gets a takedown into half guard. Le is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jorge tries to pass the half guard into mount. Le knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Le keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Le wants to improve his position but Jorge is controlling well.
Jorge is looking to take a break and control but Le is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jorge thows a huge punch but Le dodges it nicely.
Jorge trying to control from Le's half guard. Le has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Le is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Le keeping full guard, as Jorge tries to pass. Jorge throwing strikes from guard but Le blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Le has his hands on Jorge's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jorge works over Le with some ground and pound from guard. Le will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Le is controlling Jorge's posture. Le keeping moving, preventing Jorge from controlling successfully. Jorge throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jorge has gone for a leg lock! Le slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jorge's guard. Le has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Le accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le throws a big right hand that misses. Jorge can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Le controls the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Victor Le wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Le uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jorge misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Le counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Le scores with a hook to the body. Jorge takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jorge tries to score a power double leg takedown but Le sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jorge somewhat. Le swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Jorge moves into the clinch. Come on Le - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Le for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Jorge is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Le can't fight it off and eventually Jorge manages to take the fight to the floor. Le looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Le dominated that round. The cut man is working on James Jorge's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jorge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Le as he jumps to the side. Le jabs Jorge to the body, keeping him at a distance. Le throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Jorge misses with a takedown attempt - Le sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jorge uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Le. Jorge tries to clinch but fails miserably and Le counters with a three punch combo that has Jorge backing up. Jorge nods at Le to acknowledge the strikes.

and Jorge counters with a nice double leg into side control. Le won't be happy with that. The strikes coming from Jorge are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Jorge trying to control the position but Le is working away. Le is looking to regain half guard here but Jorge keeps moving and retains side control. Jorge misses with the ground and pound. Jorge working away. Jorge throws a strike aimed at the side of Le's head but Le avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le is trying to get back to half guard. Le sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jorge is working for a kimura but Le is defending it quite comfortably.
Jorge throwing shots but Le is blocking nicely. Jorge is trying to control. Le wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jorge looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jorge wants to pass to mount but Le is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le has one foot on Jorge's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Le ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jorge moves away. Jorge stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Le throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Le stuns Jorge with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Le misses with a series of wild punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jorge tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Le manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jorge with a poor takedown and Le counters with a lovely straight right hand! Victor Le has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jorge. Jorge fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jorge moves out of range as Le strikes. Le throws a sloppy head kick and Jorge moves out of range easily. Jorge gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Le counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jorge thinking. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jorge shoots and misses letting Le counter with a right hand. Le is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Le looks to land a right hand but Jorge moved out of range. Jorge shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Le to counter with a crisp jab. Jorge closes the distance and clinches up with Le, looking for a takedown. Jorge pushes Le against the cage but Le circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Victor Le has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jorge. The fighters circle momentarily. Le darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Le just misses with a punch to the body.

Jorge takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Le throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jorge sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Le is looking to wear down Jorge with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jorge. Jorge uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Le.

so Jorge counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Le manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Le looking to finish Jorge with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jorge! Jorge is wriggling around trying to escape.
Le controlling the pace for now. Jorge is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters circling - Le throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jorge changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Le tries to avoid it but Jorge manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Le to the ground. Le escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jorge shoots in and gets a takedown into Le's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jorge looking to pass the guard. Jorge with a flurry of punches that miss. Jorge wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving. Le is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jorge trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le has his hands on Jorge's head, controlling the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jorge working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Le's head. Jorge preventing the sweep. Jorge stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Le swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jorgeis looking to pass into half guard but Le pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Le is in guard. Jorge is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jorge manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Le sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Le is refusing to be controlled, as Jorge sits in half guard. Jorge trying to mount his opponent but Le defends it. Jorge not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jorge wants to pass the guard but Le is defending well. Le manages to get to full guard.

Le slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jorge has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Le has passed into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jorge is trying to escape the position but Le is controlling the position. Le wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jorge keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jorge manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that Victor Le will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on James Jorge's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Jorge working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Le holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Jorge is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Le knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jorge wants to control for a moment but Le uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Le is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Jorge trying to control but Le is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jorge trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Le manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Jorge isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Le stacks Jorge on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Le! Jorge is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le scores with a couple of short elbows. Le trying to control the position but Jorge is working away. Jorge is trying to escape the position but Le is controlling the position. Victor Le is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Le lands some shots froms side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jorge manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Le works his way to full guard. Good work. James Jorge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jorge has gone for a leg lock! Le slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jorge's guard. Jorge is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Jorge has an active guard here but Le has managed to pass into half guard.
Le is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that's the end of the fight! Victor Le showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Le, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
