Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Kasparaitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sims is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by LAVA LAVA. Wes Sims has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darius Kasparaitis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wes Sims! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sims throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sims throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kasparaitis sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kasparaitis fails to land with a series of punches.
Kasparaitis drives through and clinches with Sims against the cage.
Kasparaitis has Sims pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sims manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A nice left hand lands by Sims.
Kasparaitis gets control of Sims's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kasparaitis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sims missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sims accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kasparaitis trying to keep a closed guard but Sims is proving a slippery customer.
Sims wants to control from the top but Kasparaitis keeps moving. Sims keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kasparaitis's head. Sims tries to free his leg and advance position but Kasparaitis is retaining full guard. Sims throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kasparaitis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kasparaitis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sims is defending against the submission attempts here by Kasparaitis.
Sims throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kasparaitis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sims sees it coming and defends easily. Sims flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Sims is looking for a sweep. Kasparaitis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sims wants to control but Kasparaitis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sims wants to control the action here but instead Kasparaitis manages to pass to full mount! Kasparaitis looking to control but Sims is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kasparaitis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kasparaitis lands a nice shot to the head. Sims keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Sims tries to hold on but Kasparaitis pushes him away. Sims looks gassed! Kasparaitis landing strikes, looking to finish! Kasparaitis landing strikes from the mount and Sims is in trouble! Kasparaitis tries to control but Sims wriggling away. Kasparaitis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kasparaitis lands a nice shot to the head. Kasparaitis avoids the attempt from Sims to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kasparaitis looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Sims is working to get back to half guard.
Kasparaitis controlling his opponent. Kasparaitis looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Kasparaitis landing strikes from the mount. Kasparaitis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sims is squirming around, avoiding Kasparaitis's attempts to control the action. Kasparaitis scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Sims?
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Kasparaitis controlling the position easily from mount. Sims is in a horrible position here. Kasparaitis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kasparaitis lands a big elbow. Sims wants to hold on but Kasparaitis pushes him away. Sims is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kasparaitis scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sims takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kasparaitis looking to control and managing it successfully. BOOM! Kasparaitis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darius Kasparaitis dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kasparaitis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sims paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kasparaitis moves into the clinch successfully.

Kasparaitis is trying to force a seperation but Sims has the dominant position. A short uppercut from Kasparaitis. Kasparaitis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kasparaitis cracks Sims with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kasparaitis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sims to stand back up!
Sims is rocked!
It looks like Wes Sims has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Kasparaitis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kasparaitis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sims swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sims walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Sims limp body while Kasparaitis jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darius Kasparaitis!
