Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Helmy Abu Basha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Ducati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Helmy Abu Basha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Francois Ducati! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abu Basha lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ducati circles away quickly and effectively. Abu Basha throws a right and a left that both miss. Abu Basha misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Helmy Abu Basha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ducati connects with a body shot that sends Abu Basha's belly button to the back. Abu Basha swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ducati counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Abu Basha's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abu Basha avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ducati tries to free his leg and advance position but Abu Basha is retaining full guard. Abu Basha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ducati on the ground. Ducati working some strikes from top position. Abu Basha keeping moving, preventing Ducati from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abu Basha controlling Ducati's posture. Ducati is looking to work some ground and pound but Abu Basha has wrist control. Abu Basha is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ducati tries to free his leg and advance position but Abu Basha is retaining full guard. Abu Basha on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Abu Basha tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ducati keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Abu Basha's head. Ducati trying to control the position from guard on top but Abu Basha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ducati won't allow Abu Basha to get back to his feet. Ducati stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abu Basha swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ducati missing with a left hand there. Abu Basha was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ducati moves out of range of the strikes. Abu Basha throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ducati counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Abu Basha wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ducati is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ducati seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Abu Basha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ducati works his foot free and advances to mount. Ducati trying to control but he's not successful this time. Abu Basha wants to hold on but Ducati pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ducati throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Ducati content just to control the position here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ducati wants to finish this one by submission but Abu Basha is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ducati. Ducati thowing shots but they're missing. Abu Basha is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Ducati unloads with some shots from mount but Abu Basha bucks and avoids them well.
Ducati has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ducati is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Abu Basha to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Abu Basha shrugs it off. Ducati tries to control but Abu Basha wriggling away. Ducati controlling the pace for now. Abu Basha is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Abu Basha wants to control but Ducati is having none of it. Ducati has hold of Abu Basha's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Abu Basha manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ducati sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Ducati jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Abu Basha manages to avoid the submission attempt. You can see the frustration on Abu Basha's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Abu Basha prevents Ducati from moving into mount.

That's big trouble for Abu Basha! Ducati tries to control but Abu Basha wriggling away. Ducati has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Abu Basha's face.
Ducati throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Abu Basha is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ducati has control of Abu Basha's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Abu Basha regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Ducati unloading with bombs! Ducati looking to ground and pound but Abu Basha is blocking nicely. Abu Basha keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ducati goes for an armbar but Abu Basha turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Abu Basha. Ducati pulls Abu Basha in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francois Ducati dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A head kick by Abu Basha misses and Ducati counters with a shoot takedown. Abu Basha fights it but they end up in guard. Ducati drops back looking for a leg! Abu Basha is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abu Basha manages to kick Ducati off! Ducati jumps back into Abu Basha's guard. Ducati stays in close to Abu Basha's body and controls the position. Ducati works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ducati passes to side control. Abu Basha struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ducati has knee on belly and moves into mount. Abu Basha tries to lock up and control but Ducati gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ducati with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ducati trying to control but he's not successful this time. Abu Basha is looking to improve his position but Ducati isn't that keen on the idea. Ducati is trying to control here but Abu Basha has managed to regain half guard.
Ducati wants to pass the guard but Abu Basha is defending well. Ducati thows a huge punch but Abu Basha dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ducati lands strikes from half guard. Ducati is looking to stall here but Abu Basha recovers full guard. Abu Basha tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ducati slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Abu Basha keeping moving, preventing Ducati from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Francois Ducati was stalling too much, according to the referee. Abu Basha lands a lovely overhand right. Abu Basha throws a combination that misses and Ducati counters with a takedown into side control. Francois Ducati has got the better of the ground game so far. An elbow from Ducati crashes against the mat.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Ducati working the head with strikes. Ducati wants to control but Abu Basha is keeping him busy. Abu Basha is looking to reverse the position. Abu Basha is working hard here to advance position. Ducati passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Abu Basha!
That's six minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Abu Basha is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ducati lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Abu Basha hang on? Ducati tries to control but Abu Basha wriggling away. Ducati goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Abu Basha turns into him and now he's in Ducati's guard.
Ducati is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Abu Basha defends well.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Ducati manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Abu Basha manages to get himself to full guard.

Ducati engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ducati postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ducati trying to control but Abu Basha is working from the bottom. Ducati missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Abu Basha is looking to stand up but Ducati isn't so interested in that idea.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Ducati postures up in Abu Basha's guard and throws a big left but Abu Basha blocks it. Helmy Abu Basha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Abu Basha is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ducati is controlling him. Ducati wants to pass the guard but Abu Basha is keeping the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Francois Ducati comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ducati has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
