Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bradley Miller struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Shaw misses with a head kick.
Miller stuns Shaw with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Bradley Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shaw shoots in and bounces Miller off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Shaw controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Shaw decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Shaw lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively. Shaw moves out of range of the strikes. Shaw drives through and clinches with Miller against the cage.
Miller blocks a body shot from Shaw. Shaw tightens his grip and picks Miller up, before dumping him to the ground. Miller manages to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shaw trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Shaw slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Shaw is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Shaw not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Eric Shaw has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Shaw has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Shaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Shaw postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Miller to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw moves into the clinch. Shaw looks to throw an elbow but misses. Miller avoids the elbow strike from Shaw, against the cage.
Shaw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Miller throws a head kick that misses and Shaw counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Miller! Shaw stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. No joy there for Miller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bradley Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Miller tries to keep at a distance but Shaw has taken the fight into the clinch. Shaw stalling.
Shaw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shaw shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Miller pinned against the cage. Miller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Miller scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shaw circles away quickly and effectively. Shaw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shaw showed some decent athleticism there. Miller looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Shaw is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Shaw is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Miller can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shaw drives through with a takedown into Miller's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
It looks like Bradley Miller has been cut. Shaw postures up and lands a big shot to Miller's brow. Shaw with a flurry of punches that miss. Shaw engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shaw throwing strikes but missing. Miller is breathing heavily. Miller being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw passes easily into side control. Nice work. You can see the frustration on Miller's face as Shaw controls the position. Shaw lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw in side control, just content to control the action for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaw decides to stand up, so the ref orders Miller to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miller throws a sloppy head kick and Shaw moves out of range easily. Shaw clinches up against the cage. Shaw stalls. Shaw manages to pull guard.
Shaw looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Shaw gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw stands and steps away. Miller gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Danga de danga de dang - Miller scores with a four punch combination! Shaw drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shaw controlling from side mount. Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shaw decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Shaw dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Bradley Miller's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Shaw is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Miller's half guard. Shaw is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Shaw looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth. Shaw uses his free foot to push down on Miller's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Miller. Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Shaw lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw is standing up, even though he is in mount. Shaw shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Miller is trying to defend but Shaw finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Shaw frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Shaw looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw landing strikes, looking to finish!
Miller is rocked! Shaw takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw is working for a guillotine from mount but Miller frees his head quite easily.
