Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Graf Orlak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Johnson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orlak lands with a good body shot. Orlak blocks a jab. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Orlak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Orlak tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Orlak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Orlak throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease. Orlak lands with an uppercut that bounces Johnson off the cage and back into rage. Johnson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Orlak scores with a decent looking hook. Orlak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Orlak wants it to stay on the feet. Graf Orlak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Johnson. Johnson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Orlak slips a jab from Johnson. Johnson takes one on the button. Orlak scores with a crisp jab that stopped Johnson in his tracks. Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Orlak lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Orlak. Orlak with a jab. Johnson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Orlak doesn't seem bothered though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlak lands a jab. Orlak lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Orlak as he avoids it easily. Johnson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Orlak lands with a straight right. Johnson didn't see that one coming. Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Donk. Orlak catches Johnson right on the button with a cross. The crowd cheers as Orlak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though. Johnson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Johnson is rocked! Orlak lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Johnson goes down and covers up as Orlak starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Graf Orlak!
