Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Skvortsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Sivkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Dmitriy Sivkov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ilya Skvortsov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ilya Skvortsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitriy Sivkov! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sivkov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Skvortsov trying to hold on to Sivkov's head to control him but Sivkov postures up.
Sivkov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Skvortsov is looking for a sweep. Sivkov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Skvortsov is trying to control but can't.
Skvortsov throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Skvortsov is concentrating on defense, preventing Sivkov from advancing position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Skvortsov trying to hold on to Sivkov's head to control him but Sivkov postures up.
Sivkov throwing shots but Skvortsov is blocking nicely.

Skvortsov is breathing heavily. Skvortsov is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ilya Skvortsov. Sivkov with a poor takedown and Skvortsov counters with a straight right hand. Skvortsov blocks a head kick by Sivkov.

It looks like Ilya Skvortsov has been cut. Sivkov feints and as Skvortsov raises his hands in defense, Sivkov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Skvortsov keeping moving, preventing Sivkov from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sivkov advances position into side control! Skvortsov tries to buck Sivkov off but Sivkov is having none of it. Skvortsov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Skvortsov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sivkov is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Sivkov raining down shots from the mount! Sivkov avoids the attempt from Skvortsov to control. Sivkov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Skvortsov looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skvortsov flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Skvortsov wants to control but Sivkov is having none of it. Sivkov controlling from the full mount. Sivkov wants to finish this one by submission but Skvortsov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sivkov. Sivkov controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Skvortsov is trying to stand but he's just given Sivkov his back. Will Sivkov go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Skvortsov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sivkov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sivkov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sivkov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Sivkov is pressing down on Skvortsov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Skvortsov is holding on for now. Skvortsov is trying to stand back up but Sivkov is controlling him
Sivkov controlling the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sivkov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sivkov trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skvortsov in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Skvortsov is just holding on here. Sivkov manages to take his back.
Skvortsov just trying to survive but Sivkov is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Sivkov connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Skvortsov to escape the position.

Sivkov lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Skvortsov wants to get back to his feet. Sivkov is not going to allow Skvortsov to sit and survive in this position. Sivkov working for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skvortsov tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Skvortsov is trying to escape the mount.
Sivkov controlling from mount. Sivkov trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sivkov is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Skvortsov taking shots to the head. Dmitriy Sivkov has got the better of the ground game so far. Skvortsov tries to hold on but Sivkov pushes him away. Sivkov landing strikes, looking to finish! Skvortsov wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. I would not like to be Skvortsov right now.
Skvortsov rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Dmitriy Sivkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ilya Skvortsov's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Sivkov takes the fight into the clinch. Sivkov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Skvortsov.
Sivkov jumps into guard, dragging Skvortsov to the mat.
Skvortsov wants to control from the top but Sivkov keeps moving. Skvortsov wants to stand and escape but instead Sivkov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Skvortsov throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sivkov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skvortsov wants to stand up but Sivkov is controlling him. Skvortsov looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sivkov has picked Skvortsov up and slammed him! Skvortsov can't keep hold of the triangle and Sivkov manages to pass to side control! Sivkov moves into full mount! Sivkov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Sivkov has his takedown stuffed and Skvortsov counters with a lovely shot to the body. Skvortsov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sivkov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Skvortsov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sivkov! Skvortsov wants to control the pace but Sivkov is squirming around nicely. Sivkov tries to lock up and control but Skvortsov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sivkov bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Skvortsov keeping moving, preventing Sivkov from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sivkov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Skvortsov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sivkov won't allow Skvortsov to sweep him here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Skvortsov is looking to stand back up but Sivkov counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Skvortsov. Sivkov trying to control from Skvortsov's half guard. Skvortsov has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sivkov trying to control but Skvortsov is working from the bottom. Skvortsov keeping full guard, as Sivkov tries to pass. Skvortsov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Dmitriy Sivkov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sivkov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
