Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Batang Malakas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawrence Jefferson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Batang Malakas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lawrence Jefferson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson lands with an overhand left.
Jefferson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jefferson stuffs the takedown attempt from Malakas. Malakas gets slowly back to his feet.
Jefferson misses with a two punch combination.
Malakas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jefferson's waist but Jefferson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malakas off to one side.
Some bone on bone action there as Malakas checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Malakas fails in his attempt to clinch.
Malakas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jefferson counters with a two punch combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Batang Malakas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jefferson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Malakas counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jefferson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Malakas checks a low kick from Jefferson.
Malakas blocks a low kick nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Jefferson as Malakas shoots in.
Malakas has his takedown stuffed
and Malakas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jefferson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Malakas eats them both and turns towards Jefferson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Malakas checks a low kick from Jefferson.
Jefferson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Malakas checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jefferson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Malakas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jefferson lands a left and a right that send Malakas crashing to the mat, dazed. Jefferson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Malakas is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Malakas loses concentration momentarily and Jefferson pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Malakas crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Jefferson finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lawrence Jefferson!
