The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prot scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Prot seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Panface looks like he's trying to stand up.
Prot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panface. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Prot winds up and cracks Panface with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Panface is trying to stand back up but Prot is controlling him

and Prot counters with a single leg into guard. Panface didn't expect that.
Prot stops Panface from standing up.
Prot postures up and lands a big shot to Panface's brow.
Prot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Panface has his foot on Prot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Prot works his way back into a safe position though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Panface looking for a guillotine here but Prot defends easily.
Prot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Panface is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Prot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Prot trying to control the position from guard on top but Panface is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Prot wants to get up but he can't break Panface's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prot makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Prot working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Prot looking to sit in guard and control but Panface gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Panface stops Prot from standing up.
Prot is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Panface dives into side control.
Panface stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Prot scores with a takedown into Panface's guard.
Prot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Prot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Panface is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Prot has his hands clasped together but Panface extends an breaks Prot's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Panface.
