Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Bridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cannibal Corpse - Priests of Sodom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Fisher! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridge misses with a combination
and Fisher counters with a series of strikes. Bridge will be more careful next time no doubt. Bridge takes one on the button. Fisher looks to land a left hand but Bridge moved out of range nicely. Fisher tries to clinch up. A head kick misses from Bridge. Bridge slips under a jab. Fisher is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bridge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bridge has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Fisher throws a sloppy body shot

Bridge jumps guard and drags Fisher to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Fisher wants to stand but Bridge has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bridge might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bridge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fisher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fisher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bridge looking for a sweep. Not yet Bridge, not yet. Bridge had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fisher defends it easily. Bridge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fisher is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bridge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fisher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fisher wants to stand but Bridge has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Fisher wants to control from the top but Bridge keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Fisher dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Bridge's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

George Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fisher darts in trying to clinch and Bridge counters with a head kick. That will keep Fisher thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Bridge bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fisher's head. Fisher lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Bridge closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fisher connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bridge's face.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Fisher obliges. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Fisher just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bridge's brow. Bridge drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fisher pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Fisher throws an elbow but misses. Fisher has Bridge pressed against the cage, preventing Bridge from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Knees to the body from Fisher.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A nice inside leg kick there by Fisher. That's going to slow Bridge down. A big left from Bridge misses. Fisher tries to clinch but Bridge moves away and Bridge counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fisher is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bridge waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fisher. Fisher moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Bridge moves out of range as Fisher strikes. Bridge looks to land a combination. Fisher sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like George Fisher has been cut. Fisher misses the shot to the body. Fisher misses with a looping right. Fisher is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A nice inside leg kick there by Fisher. That's going to slow Bridge down.

Bridge throws a nice looking combination but Fisher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. John Bridge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fisher doesn't manage to clinch there - Bridge circles away.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Bridge. I think Fisher has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
