Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Block Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Raining Blood. McManus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Devil Went Down to Georgia. Dan McManus has the better chin. The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McManus checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Liddell cracks the inside of McManus's front leg.
Liddell throws out a leg kick but McManus moves out of range and Liddell only half commits.
McManus misses with a series of wild punches.
McManus blocks a head kick by Liddell.
Liddell ducks under a wild hook from McManus.
McManus on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Liddell. Liddell obviously looking to wear him down.
Liddell scores with a leg kick.
McManus throws a leg kick that is checked
and McManus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Liddell throws a nice outside leg kick.
McManus throws a left and a right that both miss
and Liddell counters with an inside leg kick.
Liddell throws a sloppy head kick and McManus moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McManus misses with a double jab
and Liddell counters with a nice uppercut.
McManus throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Liddell counters with a low kick, right behind McManus 's knee.
Liddell scores with a leg kick.
McManus looks gassed!
Liddell knocks McManus to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
McManus is rocked!
It looks like Dan McManus has been cut.
Liddell lands a strong strike to the head of McManus. That's dazed him! Liddell looking to finish here. McManus is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Liddell lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Block Liddell!
