PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Guinness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guinness kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ev Christr` Ta, Laou! . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ty Walker!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker shoots in looking for a takedown. Guinness tries to sprawl out of it but Walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guinness manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Guinness throws a left and a right that both miss

and Walker counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Guinness!
Guinness is working to get back to half guard.
Guinness on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Guinness tries to get out of the position.
Walker in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guinness wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Guinness avoids a series of strikes thrown by Walker.
Walker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Walker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Guinness wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Walker.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guinness takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Walker lands a big elbow.

Walker goes for an armbar but Guinness turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Guinness.
Guinness controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker seems keen to control Guinness's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ty Walker dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Guinness throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Guinness throws a series of punches but Walker moves out of range.
Guinness throws a series of punches but Walker avoids them all with ease.
A combination from Guinness does no damage.
Guinness swinging wildly here.
Walker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Guinness sprawls well. Guinness wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walker gets slowly back to his feet.
Walker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Guinness tries to avoid it but Walker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Guinness to the ground. Guinness escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walker tries for a takedown but Guinness sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Arthur Guinness has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ty Walker.
No joy there for Walker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guinness is looking to clinch.
Walker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Guinness tries to clinch up.
Guinness lands a body shot.

Guinness has closed the distance and engaged Walker in a clinch.
Walker is breathing heavily.
Guinness lands a body shot in the clinch.

Guinness lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Ty Walker has been cut.

Guinness breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Guinness is looking to clinch.

Guinness lands a left and a right that send Walker crashing to the mat, dazed. Guinness thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Guinness tries to clinch but Walker is having none of it.
Walker get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Walker stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Guinness runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Arthur Guinness!
